On this Friday, March 19 begins a year of the family or Amoris Laetitia Family Year. Pope Francis decreed it on December 27, the feast of the Holy Family. It will end with the 10th World Meeting of Families, in June 2022 in Rome.

This Amoris Laetitia Family Year aims to “keep alive the dynamic” of the document through which Pope Francis drew conclusions from the 2014 and 2015 Synods on the family, in order to relaunch the pastoral care of marriage and the family.

During the Angelus of March 14, the Pope recalled that “March 19, the feast of St. Joseph, will begin the Amoris Laetitia Family Year: a special year to grow in family love. I invite a renewed and creative pastoral drive to put the family at the center of the attention of the Church and of society.”

According to Cardinal Kevin Farrell, Prefect of the Dicastery for Laity, Family, and Life, this year is intended to encourage pastoral creativity, to value the dimension of the domestic church as well as to reread and rediscover Amoris Laetitia, the post-synodal exhortation.

On this occasion, FSSPX.News is proposing a new dossier on Amoris Laetitia which will include the numerous declarations, analyses, and reactions provoked by the publication of this document.
